“I’m known for my challenger spirit. I’m passionate about empowerment and gender equality. I want to smash the taboos, showing you how easy and comfortable it can be to talk about, use, manage, and plan with your money. It doesn’t need to be stressful, influence our emotions or be a negative force we must control. Money isn’t the end goal, it’s just a vehicle for us to achieve our life goals. It’s an enabler that simply brings increased choice.”
I’ve worked in the financial industry for over 30 years; for large corporates firstly in banking, then lending, and now I’m living my dream as co-founder of The Money Collective, bringing the change I wanted to see in my industry. With a focus on financial wellbeing, I’m here to serve others with my learned knowledge, expertise, and experience. I believe the best way I can make a difference and support others is through education, sharing knowledge, connecting people and building communities.
I’ve spent years talking with clients, writing home loans, deep-diving into business cashflows, and learning what real issues our community faces when it comes to money. I’ve heard the hard conversations between couples, sat through moments of shock when true spending is laid out bare on the table, and seen the clarity on peoples faces when they suddenly have a complete picture of their financial position and know what their priorities are.
I know how important it is to work on your financial education, to learn about your financial products and feel confident navigating new apps and technology to manage money. I know what financial resilience truly looks like for newly divorced people, for families, for small business owners. I’m working with Mel building The Money Collective to be like no other financial business, because we truly care and will give you authentic, professional service that puts you first, every time.

I’m passionate about truly guiding, informing, and supporting people to understand, be confident, and feel good when it comes to their money. Understanding people and really listening to their needs and dreams kindled a desire in me to be the money coach people need, to grow my expertise in Financial Wellbeing with The Money Collective, and to step into the gap between financial planning and financial counselling. It’s here that we can make the most positive impact on lives; through coaching programs which challenge and uplift the way people think about, use, and plan with their money.
I’m here to help people become inherently optimistic about their future and reduce their comparison to others. I’m here to improve peoples balance of power when it comes to their income, debt, expenses, and assets, through building and growing their financial resilience and education. I’m here to remind people that their money is simply an enabler to help them achieve their goals and aligning spending with their values can swiftly impact their feelings towards money.
